His research focuses on how organizations create value from data analytics and emerging technologies, including audit analytics, blockchain, and generative AI and large language models in accounting and finance. His work appears in leading journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Management Information Systems, Accounting Horizons, Journal of Information Systems (JIS), and International Journal of Accounting Information Systems (IJAIS).
His research focuses on how organizations create value from data analytics and emerging technologies, including audit analytics, blockchain, and generative AI and large language models in accounting and finance. His work appears in leading journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Management Information Systems, Accounting Horizons, Journal of Information Systems (JIS), and International Journal of Accounting Information Systems (IJAIS).
His research focuses on management accounting and information systems, with a particular emphasis on digital technologies and their impact on corporate management, analysed through a behavioural lens in experimental settings.
Prior to joining HSG, he held faculty positions in Australia and research and industry roles in Germany, Ireland, and the USA. He teaches management accounting, analytics, and enterprise risk management across undergraduate, graduate, and executive programmes. His work has been recognised through multiple awards and commendations spanning research, reviewing, and teaching excellence, and in the WirtschaftsWoche Forschungsmonitoring he was ranked among the top 3 accounting researchers in the "under 40" category twice in a row.
